Conference Description
The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Quantum Science is an international forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other young scientists to present new results. The GRS complements the GRC by allowing young scientists to network and share ideas.
The focus of this year's GRS will be on fundamental properties and dynamics of out-of-equilibrium quantum systems, and the development and applications of scalable quantum technologies. These dynamic fields have seen advances in topics as diverse as driven quantum systems, entanglement theory, extensibility, and quantum error correction and verification.
This year's GRS meeting will include a new informal career mentorship luncheon. This newly introduced component will take place during lunch from 12:30-1:30PM on Sunday, July 29th, the same day the GRC meeting begins. To provide a representative cross-section of the research landscape in quantum science for the GRS attendees, we have invited representatives from academia, industry and government. We hope students and postdocs will take advantage of the opportunity to seek career guidance from our invited mentors: Prof. Ivan Deutsch from University of New Mexico, Dr. Danna Rosenberg from MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and Dr. Peter Johnson from Zapata Computing.
