Three Dimensional Electron Microscopy
Visualizing Biological Processes with 3DEM
June 24-29, 2007
Colby-Sawyer College
New London, NH

The theme of the 2007 Three Dimensional Electron Microscopy GRC meeting is Visualizing Biological Processes with 3D EM. Three dimensional structural information can be obtained for large macromolecules and macromolecular assemblies such as the ribosome or icosahedral viruses via single particle reconstruction; for biological samples arrayed in two-dimensional crystals via electron crystallography; for helical filaments via helical reconstruction; or for molecular or cellular samples via electron tomography. This conference will provide a forum for the latest biological results, as well as for technological developments including EM instrumentation and image processing software. Additional speakers will be selected at the meeting for the Poster Presentations and Discussion sessions from among the poster presenters. Future conferences include a June 15-20, 2008 meeting to be held at Il Ciocco, Barga, Italy chaired by Werner Kuehlbrandt; a 2009 meeting to be held in the United States chaired by Stephen Fuller; and a 2010 meeting to be held in Europe chaired by Holger Stark.

The Chair-Elect for 2009 and Poster Chair for this year's meeting is Stephen Fuller. The Social Chair is Andy Hoenger.
