Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar
July 11-12, 2009
Bryant University
Smithfield, RI
Chair:
Sean M. Tulin

Related Meeting Information
The Nuclear Physics Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar was held in conjunction with the Nuclear Physics Gordon Research Conference. Please refer to the Nuclear Physics GRC web page for more information.

New for 2009, the Nuclear Physics Gordon Research Seminar will be held on Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding the Gordon Conference. This seminar is a unique opportunity for young researchers (students and postdocs) to present their work, exchange ideas and data, and network with their future colleagues. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the Gordon Conference as well. (Note that each requires a separate application.)

There will be two sessions of talks (Sat. afternoon and Sun. morning), all by young researchers. We invite all students and postdocs who wish to be speakers at the GRS to submit abstracts; talks will be chosen based on those abstracts. The goal of the seminar is to provide an atmosphere where young researchers can take an active role in the discussions and can feel free to ask any questions. There will be ample time, both during the sessions and Saturday evening, for discussion and interaction.

Faculty and senior researchers are also welcome to attend the GRS, to provide feedback and facilitate discussion.
