Environmental Endocrine Disruptors
May 30 - June 4, 2010
Les Diablerets Conference Center
Les Diablerets, Switzerland

The 2010 Gordon Research Conference on Environmental Endocrine Disrupters will take place May 30 – June 4 2010 in the beautiful resort of Les Diablerets in the Swiss Alps. The conference will highlight recent advances in the field and focuses on work that might shape the next decade of research. We will feature a wide range of important topics, including new results on the role of pollutants in breast, prostate and testis cancer, disease patterns in highly exposed populations and effects observed in wild life. Recent work on less well-studied pollutants, such as thyroid disrupting chemicals, glucocorticoid activity in the environment, and others will be given strong emphasis. There will also be contributions about ways in which scientific findings can be translated into better chemicals risk assessment and regulation. The Conference will bring together scientist who are at the forefront of their field, from the USA, Europe, Japan and other regions of the world. It will have strong focus on reproductive science, cancer research, neuroscience, biological monitoring and ecosystems. The Conference will provide opportunities for junior scientists and graduate students to present their work in poster format and exchange ideas with leaders in the field. Some poster presenters will be selected for short talks. The collegial atmosphere of this Conference, with programmed discussion sessions as well as opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, provides an avenue for scientists from different disciplines to brainstorm and promotes cross-disciplinary collaborations in the various research areas represented.
