Medicinal Chemistry
August 8-13, 2010
Colby-Sawyer College
New London, NH

Application Deadline
Applications are no longer being accepted for this meeting. If you have been instructed to apply by the Conference Chair, please contact your Conference Coordinator for further instructions.

The 2010 Medicinal Chemistry Gordon Conference will feature talks on cutting edge drug discovery programs as well as new technologies that play a role in advancing the field. Vice-Chair Francesco Salituro of Agios Pharmaceuticals is putting together the program; the 2008 and 2009 programs provide examples of topics typically covered. We encourage attendees to bring poster presentations, thus exposing their work to colleagues and stimulating new discussions. Poster sessions will be organized by Maria Blanco of Eli Lilly. The conference scientific sessions will end with a Special Topics Session organized by Janeta Popovici-Muller of Agios Pharmaceuticals. This session is comprised of late-breaking results from recent clinical compounds. Finally, the conference will wrap up on Thursday evening with the traditional lobster dinner and Chair's Speaker, which will feature a talk on general aspects of the medicinal chemistry.

The Medicinal Chemistry GRC continues a tradition of outstanding science presented in a relaxed atmosphere. Vice-Chair Elect Amy Ripka of EnVivo Pharmaceuticals will organize social events for the week, including a hike up Mt. Kearsarge, softball and soccer games, and the Vice-Chair Elect Golf Tournament. In addition, we will continue with our wine tasting and fundraising events. Please contact Amy with any questions regarding these activities.

On behalf of myself, the Vice Chair and the Vice-Chair elect, we will specifically encourage the application and attendance of those from diverse scientific backgrounds, particularly from women, minorities and younger scientists in the formative years of their career. We are looking forward to an outstanding conference in 2010 and thank you for your interest in the Medicinal Chemistry GRC.
