Natural Products
July 25-30, 2010
Tilton School
Tilton, NH
Chair:
Jef K. De Brabander

Vice Chair:
Karl B. Hansen

The 59th Natural Products Gordon research Conference will maintain its emphasis on cutting edge developments in natural products isolation, structure elucidation, synthesis, methods development, and other areas enabled by organic chemistry. As in the past, natural products continue to provide the inspiration for advancing the field of organic chemistry and drive developments in many areas of science. They provide a platform for developing new synthetic strategies and methodology for the synthesis of complex small molecules, provide small molecule tools enabling discovery biology efforts, and inspire medicinal chemistry efforts. This year’s outstanding lineup of speakers are reflecting the diverse and vibrant frontiers of science inspired by natural products, and will deliver lectures in topics on isolation, structure elucidation, synthesis, development of synthetic methods, chemical biology, and medicinal and process chemistry. Continuing a highly successful trend, the speakers were also selected from geographically diverse locations and represent leading scientists from both academia and industry.

The meeting will be held in a relaxed setting at the Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire. The accommodations are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and opportunities abound for exercising, hiking, golf, kayaking, and other leisure activities.

Afternoon poster sessions are an integral part of the conference. They provide an ideal forum for presenting unpublished work and exchange of ideas in an informal setting and have been highly successful in the past years. All conferees are encouraged to submit abstracts (1 page max) with title, authors and affiliation/address to the Chair, Jef K. De Brabander and the 2010 Vice Chair, Karl Hansen via E-mail. Karl Hansen will be responsible for organizing the poster sessions and select a few abstracts for short talk presentation in conjunction with the Chair.

The Chair and Vice-Chair hope to welcome you to what is anticipated to be an exciting, memorable, and enjoyable conference.
