Applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 20, 2010. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Applications will still be accepted for oversubscribed meetings. However, they will only be considered by the Conference Chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.
The Organometallic Chemistry Gordon Research Conference will be held in conjunction with the
Organometallic Chemistry Gordon Research Seminar. Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRS in addition to an application for the GRC. Please refer to the Organometallic Chemistry GRS web page for more information.
The 2010 Gordon Conference on Organometallic Chemistry will present cutting-edge research on the synthesis, structure, bonding, chemical reactivity, reaction mechanisms, and applications of organometallic compounds. The Conference will feature a wide range of topics including applications of organometallic chemistry in organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, catalysis, asymmetric catalysis, materials chemistry and biology. Additional topics will include organometallic approaches to the productive utilization of CO2, the development of sustainable energy solutions, the discovery of new materials ranging from novel polymers to nanomaterials, and solid-state and surface organometallic chemistry. The Conference will bring together a diverse group of leading investigators from academia and industry from within and from outside the field. The collegial atmosphere of this Conference, with programmed discussion sessions, poster sessions and opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, will provide a dynamic setting for scientists from different disciplines to interact. All participants are encouraged to present posters. Six outstanding posters will be selected at the conference for presentation as 15-minute talks.
A list of preliminary session topics and speakers is displayed below (discussion leaders are noted in italics). The detailed program is currently being developed by the Conference Chair and will be available by March 11, 2010. Please check back for updates.
