Organic Reactions & Processes
July 18-23, 2010
Bryant University
Smithfield, RI

The 2010 Gordon Research Conference [GRC] on Organic Reactions and Processes, Chaired by Richard P. Hsung, with Co-Vice Chairs, Todd Nelson and Rodney Parsons, will mark its 57th consecutive year in existence. This particular GRC conference has been an extremely popular and often oversubscribed gathering of scientists from academia and industry around the globe with some of the best and brightest scientists at the frontiers of synthetic organic chemistry in attendance.

This conference will celebrate the diversity in organic chemistry with cutting edge science from many areas ranging from natural product total synthesis, to method development, to catalytic transformations using transition metals, main group metals, or organic compounds, to organic reaction mechanisms, and to organometallic chemistry. It will relate to process chemistry in industry as well as the preparation of molecules of biological and material interest. The speakers will reflect the broadest impact that organic chemistry has been exerting, and will be comprised of both well-established and young scientists from academia and industry. In addition, the conference will continue its long tradition of hosting vibrant and interactive poster sessions. Attendees are strongly encouraged to submit a poster abstract at the time of their applications. Posters will reverberate the assortment of organic chemistry that contributes to organic processes, and they may be selected as short oral talks on Thursday morning.

The 2010 conference will again be held at Bryant University, Smithfield, RI, on July 18-23. This meeting site has been outstanding in hosting the Organic Reactions and Processes Gordon Research Conference. They boast comfortable accommodations, accessible leisure facility, excellent dining service, and a group of superb support staff.
