ORGANIC STRUCTURES & PROPERTIES

January 8-13, 2006
Santa Ynez Valley Marriott
Buellton, CA

Chair:
Steven C. Zimmerman

Vice Chairs:
Mireille Blanchard-Desce & Joanna Aizenberg

The 2006 Organic Structure and Properties (OSP) Gordon Research Conference will be held at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott, near Santa Barbara, California during the week of January 8-13, 2006.

The OSP GRC is comparatively new, but it has already established itself as a highly successful meeting focused on the most exciting developments in interdisciplinary research wherein organic chemistry plays an integral role. The conference has been held every other year, alternating between the U.S., Europe, and Japan. The 2006 conference will focus on the interface between organic chemistry, biology, and materials/polymer chemistry with a diverse group of scientists who are emerging or recognized leaders.

The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott is located in the heart of California's central coast and is easily accessible from the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) or by car (2.5 hour drive) from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The hotel is located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, which has 40 excellent wineries nearby as well as many outdoor activities including 4 championship golf courses.

The invited speakers who have already agreed to participate appear below. A handful of additional invited speakers will be added to the list in the very near future and there will be poster sessions organized at a later date. Student participation is especially encouraged.
