Photonuclear Reactions Logo

The Photonuclear GRC brings leading researchers and young physicists to Tilton for a week in order to both discuss current theoretical and experimental work on electron and photon scattering from nucleons and nuclei, and to identify important future directions for the field. Topics to be covered at the 2006 meeting include Compton Scattering and GPDs, nucleon spin structure, parity-violating electron scattering, baryon spectroscopy, new form-factor results, few-nucleon systems, new "pushing the envelope" developments in theory and experiment, and non-traditional applications of photonuclear physics.

Conference funding has been attained from a variety of sources, and we intend to use these funds to defray the costs of attendees as possible - we are particularly interested in supporting post-doctoral researchers and graduate students: to take advantage of this opportunity, please send email to the Chair. The money will be distributed based on need and on a "first-come, first-served basis", and will be allocated until funds are exhausted.
