About the Site

Waterville Valley is nestled in the scenic White Mountains in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire just 130 miles north of Boston.

Arrival and Check-In

It is anticipated that attendees will arrive/check-in on Sunday between 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm. If you arrive after the GRC office closes at 9:00 pm, check the list on the door of the Conference Center for your hotel assignment. Then, please proceed directly to the assigned hotel to check in.

The Meeting Room and Poster Area

Science Sessions are held in the air-conditioned Waterville Valley Room located in the Waterville Valley Conference Center.

Poster Sessions and Socials are held in the air-conditioned White Mountain Room located in the Waterville Valley Conference Center.

On-Site Housing and Facilities

GRC attendees are housed in the Town Square Condos and other hotel properties at Waterville Valley. Most attendees are housed in 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo units. The units may house singles (max 3 people per unit) or doubles (max 5 people per unit) and include a kitchen and common living area. Other attendees are housed in traditional hotel properties located at Waterville Valley. Not all accommodations are air-conditioned, but fans are available.

The availability of guest rooms at specific hotel properties at Waterville Valley varies per conference. Requests for particular hotels will be considered but cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Note: GRC attendees who will be accompanied by guests are encouraged to register their guests at the GRC rate (on-site guest registration includes meals, lodging, and an unlimited activities pass). GRC attendees bringing unregistered guests will be responsible for paying additional charges directly to the lodge upon arrival (per person per day charge includes cleaning, amenities, and an unlimited activities pass). Please contact your Conference Operations Associate for details.

Dining Area and Meals

GRC meals will be served in the air-conditioned dining room at the Waterville Valley Conference Center. GRS Meals will be held in Waterville Valley Room located in the Waterville Valley Conference Center.

Vegetarian entrees and gluten friendly meals are available at all meals. Other dietary restrictions or concerns can be accommodated if advanced notice is provided.

Kosher meals available upon request; please contact your GRC Conference Operations Associate for more information.

Internet, Phone and Computer Access

Wireless Internet is available in the Waterville Valley Conference Center and in the properties where attendees are accommodated.

Handicapped Accessibility

The site is fully handicapped accessible.

On-Site Recreation

Facilities at Waterville Valley include hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, golfing, tennis courts, mountain biking, in-line skating and full use of the White Mountain Athletic Club.

Additional activities and facilities include: Resort Shuttle, Boating on Corcoran's Pond, Mountain Chair Lift, the W.V. Recreation Department, and Curious George Story Time.

Other Information

Animals are not permitted on site.

All GRC facilities are smoke free.
