Citizens of a Visa Waiver Program country travelling to the USA must now possess a machine readable passport and an ESTA approval card. ESTA applications may be submitted any time prior to travel and generally remain valid for two years.
The University Campus of UNE is in Biddeford on the coast of Maine, 20 miles south of Portland and 90 miles north of Boston.
From the North and South: Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 32 (Biddeford). After the toll booth, turn left at the traffic light intersection onto Route 111 (Alfred Street). Follow road straight through 4 traffic lights (the last one passing a Mobile station on your right and a Burger King on your left). At the next light turn Left onto Hill Street. At the first traffic light turn right onto Pool Street (Route 9/208). Follow Route 9/208 approximately 4 miles to the University of New England’s main entrance on your left. Turn left at the blue sign and follow the road and signs to check-in.

A-1 Cab Service is a locally owned business specializing in taxi services in Saco, ME. They are happy to serve multilingual customers. A-1 accepts the following forms of payment: cash.
- Amtrak (Phone: 800-872-7245)
Amtrak provides train service from Boston, MA - North Station to Saco, ME. The journey is approximately 2 hours and costs around $25. Amtrak also provides train service from Portland, ME to Saco, ME. A taxi is required from the Saco train station to the University of New England. The taxi ride is approximately 15 minutes and $20. See "A-1 Cab Service" for more information.

Concord Coach Lines provides transportation from Logan Airport in Boston to the Portland Transportation Center in Portland, Maine. Schedules and fares can be found on their web page. Additional taxi service is required from the bus terminal to the conference site.
- Mermaid Transportation (Phone: 207-885-5630)
Mermaid Transportation provides transportation from Logan Airport and Portland Jetport to the University of New England. Please call or check their web site for schedules and pricing.

Airlines and Airports
- Logan Airport (BOS)
Logan Airport is located in Boston, Massachusetts and is 98 miles from the University of New England. Most major domestic and international airlines fly to BOS. Visit the Airport’s web site for a complete list of airlines. GRC provides a Chartered Bus service to our New England sites for conferees arriving here on Sundays (reservations are required).
- Portland International Jetport (PWM)
Portland International Jetport, located in Portland, Maine, is only 20 miles from the University of New England. It is the preferred airport for domestic flights for conferences at Colby College. Many major airlines (including AirTran, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Northwest, United, and USAir) fly to PWM. Visit the airport’s web site for a complete list of airlines.
