Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Biomolecular Interactions & Methods is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

Conformational changes, reversible associations, and assembly of macromolecular complexes play fundamental roles in biological systems. The focus of the meeting will be on the application and development of biophysical methods towards the understanding of biomolecular interactions. The meeting will provide a forum for scientists from diverse experimental and theoretical backgrounds to discuss and explore how biophysical approaches can be applied to understand key biological questions.

Highlights of the GRS program include a keynote address by Dr. Brenda Schulman (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital) and a career panel entitled "Scientific Career Paths" featuring Dr. Madeline Shea (University of Iowa), Dr. Brian Baker (University of Notre Dame), and Dr. Mirella Bucci (Nature Chemical Biology).

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Biomolecular Interactions and Methods" Gordon Research Conference (GRC).
