The Gordon Research Seminar on Bioorganic Chemistry is a forum aimed at graduate students, post-docs, and other early career scientists. Attendees will be encouraged to discuss their scientific progress while enjoying a unique networking experience with their peers ahead of the affiliated GRC.
The 2019 Bioorganic Gordon Research Seminar will focus on the design, implementation, and outlook of emerging chemical tools that are being used to uncover questions surrounding the molecular details of disease states in biological systems. This GRS will feature career development (in and outside academia) through a mentorship component, in addition to original research presentations from graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and a keynote speaker.
The seminar will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The seminar chair will select speakers from abstracts submitted by March 8, 2019. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Information section above.
