Conference Description
The Gordon Research Seminar on Geochemistry of Mineral Deposits is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
Ensuring a secure supply of metals to support a growing global population, increased urbanization and the transition to renewable energies is a priority for the future. Geochemistry is a fundamental tool that can be applied on a range of topics regarding mineral exploration, such as developing genetic models of deposits, regional to camp scale exploration, mineral processing and asset management and reclamation. This research seminar will bring together young researchers in the field of geochemistry of mineral deposits to present and discuss the latest concepts and newest ideas on key processes across all scales. The seminar will be framed by a keynote talk, given by a mineral deposit geochemist, and a mentoring panel, to discuss future career perspectives in the field of mineral deposits. The GRS is an opportunity for Early Career Researchers (PhD and Postdoctoral Researchers) to showcase their research activities and network.
