Conference Description

The Lactic Acid Bacteria Biology, Symbioses and Applications GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.

This meeting will highlight work on microbial interactions and niche diversification within the Lactic Acid Bacteria. Taking an ecological and evolutionary look at the LAB will highlight key aspects of their biology, symbioses, and applications, while offering the opportunity to expand our scope to complex ecosystems. The seminar will conclude with a keynote address from a leader at the cutting edge of lactic acid bacteria biology and polymicrobial interactions.
