The Malaria Conference is a premier meeting in the field of Malaria Research, emphasizing this year integration of data in a post-genomic setting with an eye on understanding basic biology, immunology, host-parasite and vector-parasite interactions and the cells and organisms they infect. This is achieved through consideration of data drawn from model systems as well as human infectious agents acknowledging that the ultimate application of the knowledge must be in the field.
