The Membrane Protein Folding GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. This conference will bring together researchers studying membrane proteins and membranes across scales, from molecular mechanisms to cellular and systems-level processes. Topics will include membrane protein biogenesis and proteostasis, complex assembly, membrane protein structure, dynamics and design, therapeutic discovery, a-helical and ß-barrel folding, protein misfolding in disease, membrane protein-lipid interactions, membrane systems biology, synthetic and evolutionary biology, and data-driven approaches to understanding membrane protein sequence-function relationships.
We encourage applications from scientists exploring the molecular, cellular, biological, and physical principles governing membrane protein folding and design, membrane organization, and protein-membrane interactions in both healthy and disease states. This highly interactive meeting aims to foster interdisciplinary discussions and catalyze new collaborations across the membrane protein field.
