Conference Description
This conference has been deferred to 2023 due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check back soon for the 2023 schedule.
The 2021 Gordon Research Conference on Microbial Adhesion and Signal Transduction (MAST) will provide new insights into fundamental and pathogenesis-related microbiology. The focus of the conference will be on the ability of microbes to interact with one-another, with their host(s), or with biotic and abiotic surfaces and how these processes can be controlled under biomedical conditions. The conference will also feature a wide variety of technological advances and provide insight into biophysical aspects of the microbial world.
A central goal of the meeting will be to openly discuss new research findings presented by leading researchers in the field and allow participants to initiate new collaborations. Moreover, the conference will also provide ample opportunities for early-career researchers to promote their work in the form of short talks and poster presentations. This diversity, coupled with the intimate setting and collegial atmosphere of the GRC, makes an ideal venue for interaction between scientists trained in widely different fields and serves to promote interdisciplinary collaborations.
