Conference Description
The Neurobiology of Brain Disorders GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The global challenge presented by neurodegenerative disorders is immense. Application of new molecular and cellular technologies to reveal important mechanistic insights is more critical than ever. This year's conference deviates from previous meetings through its organization around themes that are broadly applicable across brain disordered, rather than being organized around specific diseases. The conference will assemble scientists from a wide range of disciplines, including genetics, genomics, systems biology, cell biology, and structural biology, to discuss how these applications can move the field of brain disorders forward across neurodegenerative diseases. Topics will include neuroinflammation, links to metabolism, transformative neuropathology, deep phenotyping, and new approaches to trial design and precision therapies. The goal is to develop a thorough understanding of current cutting-edge platforms and explore how these will develop in the future for the overall understanding of these issues so that better diagnostics and treatments can be developed. The conference will provide a platform for junior scientists and graduate students to present their cutting-edge and unpublished research and to interact informally with leaders in the field. Designated time for poster sessions and communal meals will foster a sense of camaraderie and create opportunities for informal networking with key opinion leaders. Attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentations and engage in discussions. Early registration and abstract submission are advised.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by November 5, 2025. Please check back for updates.
