Conference Description
The Gordon Research Seminar on New Antibacterial Discovery and Development is a forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
Antibacterial drug discovery is unique in that it requires strong collaboration between researchers in diverse fields. While trainees work towards becoming an expert in their particular research projects, an awareness of other aspects in antibiotic research will guide them towards making a stronger impact in the field. This meeting aims to integrate each trainee's knowledge in order to develop a cohesive understanding of challenges that limit success in the field, such as resistance, persistence, and tolerance, as well as novel biological, chemical, and computational approaches for overcoming these challenges.
