Conference Description
This conference has been deferred to 2023 due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check back soon for the 2023 schedule.
Physical organic chemistry focuses on the understanding how structure affects the reactivity of organic molecules. Physical organic principles are applied to many different fields, making the rational design of chemical properties conceivable. This conference focuses on experimental, spectroscopic and theoretical approaches to understand old and new organic reactions. The scientific areas covered include bioorganic chemistry, catalysis, computational chemistry functional materials, photochemistry, reactivity at interfaces, reactive intermediates, and supramolecular and systems chemistry. The invited speakers from different fields will provide an interdisciplinary environment to discuss current challenges for the understanding on how organic reactions and organic functional systems work. The combination of established leaders in their fields and up-and-coming researchers as speakers will provide the traditionally informal and highly interactive environment for discussions across fields of study. We encourage all participants to present their newest and unpublished results. The poster sessions are highly interactive. Short talks are selected from the posters for the last evening session of the conference and these talks are one of the highlights of the conference.
