Conference Description
The Single-Cell Approaches in Plant Biology GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
Plant cells are the building blocks of life, orchestrating complex processes that span from the molecular interactions within individual cells to the larger physiological functions driving plant growth and adaptation to the environment. Advances in single-cell biology have revolutionized our ability to map the spatial organization of biological molecules across plant cells, which has enabled an unprecedented amount of hypothesis-driven research. We are excited to have the opportunity to hear about your groundbreaking discoveries that deepen our understanding of plant cell functions, and explore how these insights can be applied to engineer plants with desirable traits. We seek to provide a forum to develop a collective vision for the future of plant single-cell biology, discuss new methods, showcase pre-published data, present diverse perspectives on career paths for plant single-cell researchers, and build a supportive, inclusive, and diverse community which will foster innovative research for years to come.
Application Instructions
The seminar will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The seminar chair will select speakers from abstracts submitted by May 4, 2025. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Information section above.
