The GRC Power Hour
In 2016, GRC introduced the Power Hour. This informal session for all attendees gives communities the opportunity to discuss challenges women face in science and supports the professional growth of women by providing an open forum for discussion and mentoring.
The program has proven incredibly popular, with 108 Power Hours held at GRCs in 2017. Chairs select a woman from their community to serve as the organizer for the session. Each host tailors the program format to fit the needs of their community. GRC provides suggested talking points and additional resources to help them get started.
