Conference Description

The Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar on Biomolecular Interactions & Methods is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

Complex assembly, reversible associations, and conformational changes are essential to the biological function of macromolecules. The meeting will focus on how quantitative biophysical methods and novel techniques can be applied to understand these interactions. The meeting will bring together scientists from diverse disciplines to discuss the role of fundamental and emerging biophysical methods in addressing important biological problems.

Highlights of the GRS program include a keynote address by Dr. Carlos Bustamante (University of California, Berkeley) and a career panel entitled “Beyond Graduate School” featuring Drs. Linda Nicholson (Cornell University), Enrique De La Cruz (Yale University), Lumelle Schneeweis (Bristol-Myers Squibb), and John Beals (Lilly Research Laboratories) as panelists.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Biomolecular Interactions and Methods" Gordon Research Seminar (GRS).
