Conference Description

The importance of getting the interface between a sensor and the analyte right is one of the key factors in the design of new highly sensitive and highly specific sensors, for the detection of both chemical and biological systems. The 2007 GRC will feature sessions on the design of new materials for interfaces, how to array such new interfaces and obviously how to use the new materials as real life sensor systems. However sensors do not live by interfacial design alone and so substantial time will be devoted to new sensor technologies and the development of sensors that do not require analyte labelling.

The aim of the 2007 Chemical Sensors and Interfacial Design GRC meeting is to bring together a wide range of scientists of differing backgrounds in a multi-disciplinary environment and stimulate new ways to apply both sensor technology and interfacial design.
