Conference Description
The In Vivo Magnetic Resonance GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The 2026 program will highlight transformative developments that are expanding the frontiers of MR in temporal and spatial resolution, quantitative mapping, and impactful translational applications. Sessions will explore advances in contrast agents, novel hardware and encoding, approaches, deep-learning driven MRI, and innovative open science initiatives. In addition to research pushing the spatial resolution of structural and functional imaging, we will focus on extending functional MRI beyond the human brain, and with new stimulation techniques. Fresh efforts to quantify electromagnetic tissue properties and to advance spectroscopic and non-proton MR techniques and applications will showcase the breadth of innovation transforming the field.
The conference will feature thought leaders and pioneering scientists from across academia, industry, and clinical domains. Early-career scientists are especially encouraged to participate, and to join the trainee-led and tailored Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) just before the main conference. This GRC is a unique opportunity aiming to inspire and catalyze new ideas that will shape the future of in vivo MR.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by October 15, 2025. Please check back for updates.
