Conference Description
The Induced Proximity Modalities and Therapeutics GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The Gordon Research Conference on Induced Proximity Modalities and Therapeutics will bring together scientists from academia and industry to explore the latest advancements in this rapidly evolving and growing field. Induced proximity - harnessing molecular interactions to drive emergent therapeutic effects - has already led to breakthroughs such as molecular glues and PROTACs for targeted protein degradation which have progressed to the clinic for oncology indications and beyond. More recently, the concept has significantly expanded to include protein stabilization, sequestration, relocalization, and modulation of transcriptional and post-translational processes. These additional pharmacological outcomes open a new wealth of possibilities for therapeutic innovation and drug discovery. This conference will provide a platform for scientific discussions on technological and conceptual advances in discovering, characterizing and rationally designing proximity-based therapeutics. Sessions will, for instance, cover how chemical biology drives discovery, our evolving understanding of the structural basis of proximity-inducing agents, and the increasing impact of protein-based therapeutics. In addition to providing insights into the leading edge of discovery sciences, this meeting will also address challenges and opportunities in translating induced proximity agents to the clinic. While targeted protein degradation is an early and central pillar of induced proximity, a strong emphasis will be placed also on other proximity-inducing modalities. With a distinctive lineup of experts, the conference will foster an interactive environment that encourages collaboration and engagement, particularly for early-career scientists. As induced proximity-based therapies continue to expand, this meeting will serve as a timely and rigorous forum to shape the future of the field and accelerate innovation.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by September 24, 2025. Please check back for updates.
