Conference Description
The Magnetic Resonance and Quantum Information Science GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
This GRC on the Convergence of Magnetic Resonance (MR) and Quantum Information Science (QIS) is a premier, international conference born out of an urgent need for a platform to foster transformative new science and quantum education at the intersection of these two fields, and will focus on advancing the frontier of quantum informed science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research. This GRC will feature nine scientific sessions, one Power Hour on the “Convergence of Quantum Formalism and Language”, poster sessions and lots of communal time. A key obstacle to the exchange of ideas between QIS and MR lies in the distinct terminologies that have independently evolved in each field—often to describe fundamentally similar concepts. To facilitate more effective communication across communities, we will encourage all speakers to articulate key concepts using the language of both disciplines, and to deliberately translate terminology, even when the ideas may seem commonplace within their own field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities with lasting collaborations and friendships.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by September 17, 2025. Please check back for updates.
