Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Nanoporous Materials & Their Applications is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to explore the frontiers of the synthesis, characterization, and application of zeolites, mesoporous materials (MCM-like), metal-organic-frameworks (MOFs), clathrates, porous carbon, inorganic-organic hybrid materials, and other nanoporous materials. The topics that will be explored include (but are not limited to) advances in synthesis, emerging applications, and catalysis and biomass conversion. The poster sessions will provide additional opportunities for the presentation and discussion of important contributions to these fields.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Nanoporous Materials and Their Applications" Gordon Research Seminar (GRS). Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GRS. Refer to the associated GRC program page for more information.
