Conference Description
The Post-Transcriptional Gene Regulation GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The 2026 Gordon Research Conference on Post-Transcriptional Gene Regulation will be the 11th in a biennial series that began in 2004. The 2026 meeting will discuss the newest findings on the basic mechanisms that underlie the biogenesis, regulation, and functions of all classes of RNA. Topics of interest include but are not limited to RNA synthesis, folding, modification, splicing, 3ยด end formation, mRNA translation, decay, localization, and how these processes are coupled in cells. The application of fundamental knowledge to illuminate disease mechanisms and develop RNA-based therapies will be emphasized. An important goal of the meeting is to foster interactions between academic and industrial scientists that lead to the identification and development of novel drug targets. Moreover, the meeting seeks to support interactions among scientists at all stages of their careers, and the limitation of the attendance to ~180 participants will promote such conversations. The meeting will include approximately 40 invited speakers from academia and industry representing a variety of post-transcriptional control topics in nine sessions. In addition, a limited number of short talks will be selected from submitted abstracts. Four late afternoon poster sessions will ensure that the science of every participant will be discussed in depth. Sessions will generally have 4-6 speakers each.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by October 22, 2025. Please check back for updates.
