The Gordon Research Seminar on Biocatalysis is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. Our aim is to cover biocatalysis from the basics of enzyme discovery and characterization to the industrial application of different biocatalysts and engineered enzymes.
This meeting is a unique chance to connect with other motivated researchers on a similar level in their career to discuss science and different career paths in the field of biocatalysis. We therefore kick-off the meeting with a keynote lecture by a scientific leader in the field, followed by selected oral and poster presentations as well as a mentorship panel with experienced scientists to discuss different career paths and career development.
We hope to see you at the 2018 GRS on Biocatalysis in Maine, USA.
The seminar will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The seminar chair will select speakers from abstracts submitted by April 7, 2018. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Information section above.
