Conference Description
The Electronic Processes in Organic Materials GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes an array of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The meeting offers a unique and inclusive environment where researchers—ranging from early-career scientists to established experts—can engage in dynamic and thought-provoking dialogue. These interactions are expected to significantly advance knowledge and progress in the field of organic and hybrid thin-film optoelectronics and beyond. The five-day program features a diverse lineup of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions around the world, highlighting the latest developments in the fields of organic and hybrid electronics. This year’s GRC will focus on the future of organic and hybrid electronics, addressing key challenges and emerging opportunities. The program will highlight the fundamental understanding and applying of electronic, photophysical, and physicochemical processes in organic and hybrid materials. It will also explore how advanced characterization, lab automation and artificial intelligence can accelerate material and device discovery and innovation. Frontier research on electronic, optoelectronic, and bioelectronic devices based on organic and hybrid materials will be a central theme. Discussions will not only address performance improvements but also tackle persistent challenges in stability, scalability, and sustainability as well as challenges from lab-to-fab. Immediately preceding the GRC, a two-day Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Electronic Processes in Organic Materials will be held. Organized by and for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, the GRS brings together members of the highly interdisciplinary organic electronics community. These focused, peer-led discussions between junior and senior experimentalists and theoreticians will serve as a valuable prelude to the main conference, further enriching the scientific exchange and collaboration in this rapidly evolving field.
The conference will consist of nine sessions, on the topics listed below. The conference chair is currently developing their preliminary program, which will include the names of the invited speakers and discussion leaders for each of these sessions. The preliminary program will be available by October 8, 2025. Please check back for updates.
