Conference Description
The Gordon Research Seminar on Immunochemistry and Immunobiology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and early career scientists to present unpublished data and exchange cutting-edge ideas related to the diverse discipline of immunology. This seminar will foster collaboration, stimulate scientific creativity, and help participants to expand their networks alongside peers with shared interests and diverse experiences.
New techniques have revealed that the molecules, cells, and tissues of the immune system are intensely complex and heterogeneous. Thus, immunologists must take advantage of expertise from diverse fields including biology, engineering, and technology to improve human health. We will explore these cross-field interactions by featuring the work of scientists in both fundamental and applied immunology. This seminar will focus on interdisciplinary approaches, immunomodulatory molecules and materials, and the application of modern analytic tools in the context of vaccines, diagnostics, and immunotherapeutics.
Application Instructions
The seminar will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The seminar chair will select speakers from abstracts submitted by March 6, 2022. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Information section above.
